They then return to the rebel fleet, where the Rebellion plans a daring attack on the new Death Star. Han, Leia, Luke, Chewie and the droids head to Endor where the shield generator for the Death Star is located while Lando leads the space attack on the Death Star. Luke explains to Leia that they are twins and he must go to face Vader. The entire battle turns out to be a trap laid by the Emperor to destroy the Rebellion. Luke allows himself to be captured so that he can get to Vader. Luke tries to turn Vader back to the light. The Emperor nearly drives Luke to the dark side and he almost kills his father. In the end, Vader turns back to the light and kills the Emperor to save his son, but dies in the process. Luke escapes and, with the help of the native Ewoks on Endor, the Rebellion destroys the Death Star, and balance is finally brought to the Force.
