Dressage is an equestrian sport where the horse and rider preform a dance for the judges. It is teaching the horse to develop it's natural athletic ability. At the highest level of dressage the horse and rider compete in the olympics. The horse is taught to carry it's weight on it's hindend and push foward and up from it's backend. This allows the horse to be rounded and supple underneath himself. Dressage is a sport of beauty and is only possible when there is a true partnership with the horse and rider. It takes more than a decade for a horse to be at a high competition level and the rider most of his/her life. The rider and horse have a silent language. It is all about perfection and as an equestrian I strive for it everyday.
