Subject: Something I Discovered During Spiritual Emphasis Week/Days

This past week was a real eye-opener. Pastor Charlton Taylor came and spoke to the high school and middle school during Spiritual Emphasis Week and his message was mainly about our identity in Christ. I realized that I need to spend more time with God and stop only talking to Him when I need help or only when I think about it. One thing that stood out to me was that my sins do not define me and when I do sin, my salvation is not taken away from me and earned back. Another thing that stood out to me is that how busy our lives are and how many things we do, does not define us. Society does not define my identity in Christ and I personally need to work at being somebody that shines the light of the Lord instead of dimming it.

I need to spend more time working on my identity in Christ and less on how society sees me.

Christ's opinion matters more
