The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit are arguably the one of the best two books written in the History of the world. They are two of the Classics and every child should have to read them at least once in their life. The Hobbit is a Story of a Hobbit named Bilbo Baggins that goes on an adventure with 13 Dwarves to reclaim Erabor. During that journey they encounter many hardships but eventually overcome them. On one of those misshapes Bilbo discovers a Gold Ring and uses it to escape from a creature named Gollum. Later in the journey Bilbo uses that ring to talk to Smaug, unseen. Eventually Smaug leaves the mountain and is killed by Bard. A battle ensues a short time later to take control of the Mountain between Men, Dwarves, Elves, Goblins/Wargs, and The Eagles, thus giving it the name the Battle of the Five Armies. Ninety years later Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, Gimli, Legolas, Aragorn, Boromir, and Gandalf go on a quest to destroy the Ring of Power, the same Ring that Bilbo found in the caves. Gandalf falls in Moria and Boromir is killed by three orc arrows. The company splits with Frodo and Sam going to Mordor with the guidance of Gollum and the rest going to Rohan. While there in Rohan Merry, Pippin, Gimli, Legolas, and Aragorn, discover that Gandalf has come back to life more powerful than before. They then fight Saruman defeating him and getting a plantír. Pippin and Gandalf go to Minas Tirith to ready the city for war while everyone else prepares Rohan to help Gondor should the need arise. Sauron attacks Minas Tirith, almost winning the battle but the armies of Rohan and the armies of the Dead come and save Minas Tirith. Everyone now goes to the entrance to Mordor to give Frodo and Sam the opurtunity to destroy the Ring in Mount Doom. The forces at the entrance to Mordor are almost destroyed when the Ring is destroyed. Aragorn goes back to Minas Tirith to be corinated and the hobbits go back to the Shire and restore order there. Frodo, Gandalf, Bilbo, and the last of the Elves go into the Western lands ending the book series.
